Throughout the year …

McDonough hosts several seasonal events and festivals that provide fun for the whole family!  From geraniums to ghosts — from scenery to Santa, and a Geranium Drop!  It’s all exciting!  Plan to visit McDonough for family fun throughout the year.

The festivities begin each Spring with our annual Geranium Festival, sponsored by the Lions Club of McDonough and a host of other businesses and organizations.  McDonough Hospitality & Tourism is presenting the Geranium Drop — a New Year’s Eve celebration for the whole family on the downtown square!

Georgia is hot in the summer … but the Music and Movies on the Square underneath the stars is a perfect summer night!

Fall Festivals, Car Shows and Scarecrow Contests welcome cooler weather and colorful autumn leaves.  Folks come from all around to pick pumpkins and even get lost rustling in the corn maze.  Experience all that the fall season has to offer right here in McDonough — just south of Atlanta.

At Christmas, we celebrate with a parade, tree lighting ceremony, a visit from Santa Claus and more!  Then, we ring in the New Year at the annual Geranium Drop!  Visit our blog for the latest happenings and event announcements!
