Sherif Riad and Nigel Gumbs

When Sherif Riad moved from Egypt to Canada at age 18, he held strong to his heritage. Later, after relocating to the United States, he decided to share his culture with Georgians. In 2013, he opened Fusion Restaurant & Bar in Henry County, serving Mediterranean fare with inspirations from the Middle East, Egypt, Lebanon, Spain, Greece, and Italy.

Family-owned and operated, Fusion features made-to-order items using Riad’s family recipes and the expertise of head chef Nigel Gumbs. Riad personally reviews the menu quarterly, ensuring locals always have something new to try. From classic shawarma and falafel to lamb burgers and yellow lentil soup, the vibrant dishes come together with bold spices, fresh ingredients, and traditional cooking techniques. In addition to food, Fusion is focused on hospitality—Riad strives to make guests feel at home.
