The historic courthouse square in McDonough is centered around the 1897 Henry County Courthouse, a Romanesque Revival building known for its clock tower and grand entrance. The building was designed by J.W. Golucke.

This historic square is not only a landmark but also the heart of the community, featuring local shops and restaurants. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
